Blurb:
Seventeen-year-old Raine Cooper has enough on her plate dealing with her father’s disappearance, her mother’s erratic behavior and the possibility of her boyfriend relocating. The last thing she needs is Torin St. James—a mysterious new neighbor with a wicked smile and uncanny way of reading her.
Raine is drawn to Torin’s dark sexiness against her better judgment, until he saves her life with weird marks and she realizes he is different. But by healing her, Torin changes something inside Raine. Now she can’t stop thinking about him. Half the time, she’s not sure whether to fall into his arms or run.
Scared, she sets out to find out what Torin is. But the closer she gets to the truth the more she uncovers something sinister about Torin. What Torin is goes back to an ancient mythology and Raine is somehow part of it. Not only are she and her friends in danger, she must choose a side, but the wrong choice will cost Raine her life.

Review: The Girl with the Iron Touch
Image & Description from goodreads.com
ARC provided by NetGalley
When mechanical genius Emily is kidnapped by rogue automatons, Finley Jayne and her fellow misfits fear the worst. What's left of their archenemy, The Machinist, hungers to be resurrected, and Emily must transplant his consciousness into one of his automatons—or forfeit her friends' lives.
With Griffin being mysteriously tormented by the Aether, the young duke's sanity is close to the breaking point. Seeking help, Finley turns to Jack Dandy, but trusting the master criminal is as dangerous as controlling her dark side. When Jack kisses her, Finley must finally confront her true feelings for him...and for Griffin.
Meanwhile, Sam is searching everywhere for Emily, from Whitechapel's desolate alleyways to Mayfair's elegant mansions. He would walk into hell for her, but the choice she must make will test them more than they could imagine.
To save those she cares about, Emily must confront The Machinist's ultimate creation—an automaton more human than machine. And if she's to have any chance at triumphing, she must summon a strength even she doesn't know she has....

My Thoughts:
Kady Cross has given us another BRILLIANT installment in
this fantastic series. In this book we
are given more insight into Emily’s story and how she came to work with Griffin
King. It was interesting to see more of
Emily’s gift with machines and what she could do. Even in the face of extreme danger, Emily
keeps her wits and is able to find a way to save herself and those she cares
about. I absolutely love these
characters. They are interesting and
engaging. They each have their own “special”
ability along with an individual story to add to the whole picture. There was more focus on the personal
relationships of Finley and Griffin, as well as, Sam and Emily. These new developments did so much to enrich
the story. While Jasper was in this book
he wasn’t as present as he was in The Girl in the Clockwork Collar. His friend Wild Cat came to visit from
America so I think we’ll see more of them both in the next book. I am especially interested to see what
becomes of Mila. I hope they can find a
way to add her to their patch work family.
Of course Jack Dandy, in all his dark charisma, played the part of the reluctant
hero. I would love to see him have his
own spin off from this series. ~Hint,
hint, Kady.~
When it comes to villains, I can appreciate one as
diabolical as Garibaldi, a.k.a the Machinist.
He is one determined mad man. A
man who can terrorize while floating in a tank of goo is the epitome of evil
genius. Like Emily, I wondered what
happened to him that made him the way he was.
If you haven’t started reading this series, I highly
recommend it. It’s full of adventure and
excitement. Steampunk is vastly becoming
one my favorite genres. Mostly due to
this series and the imagination put into building this amazing world.

The Silver Sphere: Review
Tour Schedule |
The Silver Sphere
Shelby Pardow never imagined killing someone. That's about to change.
While hiding from her troubled father in the local library, Shelby stares at a flashing instant message on her computer: YOU ARE NEEDED. She discovers a portal that opens and teleports her to the planet Azimuth, where soldiers await. Here, she is not a child but a warrior, Kin to one of the six Aulic Assembly members imprisoned by Malefic Cacoethes, the daunting leader of the Nightlanders.
Malefic, the evil spawn of the demon Biskara, razes towns and cities in his quest to rule Azimuth, and yearns to turn his forces against Earth. Yet every time Biskara gets close to achieving his malevolent goals, the Assembly uses the Silver Sphere, a sophisticated armillary device, to thwart him.
With the Assembly deposed, Biskara directing Malefic's conquests, and the Silver Sphere out of reach, Shelby is thrust into an unforgettable quest with her fellow Kin. She must learn to kill and lead an army into battle, or Azimuth—and Earth—will fall.
My Thoughts:
There is so much to this book. It was really well written. So much imagination and world building went into this story. It took me a while to figure out who was who and what was happening; only because for the last several books I've read the focus was on one or two characters. That's not the case in here. Each "Kin" has their own story with in the story. I liked Shelby and Max the most. Their strength and bravery really stood out to me. I liked Nick too. He was a hero to his core. The story mixes Mid eval knights, sorcery and a bit of technology into a wonderfully woven tapestry. All the different creatures were fascinating and there are even a few pictures to really help you understand what they look like. Great battle scenes through out the book keep it moving at a good pace. I think both male and female readers will enjoy this story.
I'd recommend this for 13 yrs. old and up.

AMAZING! There is not enough words to describe how much I loved Hunted. Ednah Walters has outdid herself if that is even possible.

Author Ednah Walters
I grew up reading Nancy Drew and Hardy boys mysteries, hence Stratemeyer influence, before I graduated to Mills & Boons (starting with Janet Daily's Shutter the Sky) and the rest is history.
I enjoy good love stories, tingly mysteries and wondrous adventures. When I finished my college and decided to be a stay-at-home mother, I devoured books like they were going out of production, until reading just wasn't enough. So I started to write.
I've written picture books, contemporary and romantic suspense, biracial/multicultural books, and finally YA fantasy. Awakened is the first book in The Guardian Legacy series. I'm working on book 2, tentatively named Betrayed. When I'm not writing, I do things with my family, five children or my darling husband of 18 years. I live in a picturesque valley in Utah, the setting for my series.
Ednah told me some thoughts she had if this amazing book were turned into a movie. I personally think it would make great series for t.v. as well.
What would you like to see if Hunted were turned into a
movie?
First, I’d probably
be the luckiest person alive. Second, I’d NOT want anything left out.
Who would play who:
Lil would be played
by the girl in Nikita-Lyndsy Fonseca
Bran- Sam Winchester
actor- Jared Padalecki
Sykes-Oliver Queen
from Smallville-Justin Hartley (Jeannette has called DIBS on Sykes...just sayin')
Remy-Dr. Jackson
Avery from Grey’s Anatomy-Jesse Williams
Izzy- Isabella
in 4400- Megalyn Echikunwoke
Kim-American Pie-Tara
Reid
Grampa- Jeff Bridges
Lunaris and Solaris- The
actress from Burn Notice- Gabrielle Anwar
What scene would you want to see most on the big screen?
The scene on the
rooftop scene when Lil comes face to face with the beings hunting them.
What would you absolutely not let them change?
The relationship
between Lil and her grandfather. He’s such a big part of who she is I’d hate
for that to be removed.
My Thoughts on Hunted:
The story of Lil, Bran and the other Guardians just keeps getting better! Just when things were cooling down for Lil & Bran a new enemy appears. And OMG the story takes some crazy twists! I enjoyed this book as much as I did Betrayed. As I expected the ending left me searching for the date of the next book. This series is so amazing!
